Newport MUD Newsletter for December
Wishing all Newport residents a Merry Christmas and very Happy New Year!
November was a slow month due to weather. There was storm sewer installation and there were chemical tanks and raw water pump delivery. The contractor installed the pumps soon after delivery and placed the chemical tanks. In between these items, minor concrete work was completed, including housekeeping pads and sidewalks.
At the beginning of December, the filter building materials were delivered. Crews began erecting the building posts, the roof runners and will next be moving on to the side panels. In addition, the contractor installed the raw water meter at the head of the plant. December will see the continuation of the buildingā€™s assembly and a quiet lull over the holidays.
