March Update

The contractor began work in February. Underground utilities were located and rerouted to make way for the proposed filtrate pump station. The necessary preliminary excavation has been completed for the pump station and now the contractor is working on preparing the concrete forms and rebar for the structure. For scale, the structure is 12-foot wide in diameter wide with 18-inch thick walls and will be 18 feet deep.

In addition, the contractor has staked the corners of the proposed filter building. With the building footprint staked, crews have been able to start excavation of pipe trenches that will convey flow to and from the Purifics water purification equipment.

During March the contractor will continue to construct the pipe trenches and will complete the first panel formwork for the filtrate pump station.
