Newport MUD is asking all residents to conserve water. The pressure in the District is currently adequate enough to avoid the stateā€™s boil water requirement; however, it is lower than we would like.
To help maintain water pressure in the system during this winter weather event, please use water only for essential tasks. Please stop running water as a prevention for frozen pipes. With the temperatures rising above freezing, you are not at risk.
