Effective February 14,2021 the Parks and Trails in Newport will be closed
Newport M.U.D. will be closing the Parks and Trails at 5:00 pm on Sunday, February 14,2021 and they will remain closed until Wednesday February 17, 2021
Because of the high probability of the trails icing over due to the winter weather we are expected to receive starting Sunday, February 14, 2021, Professional Utility Services will be closing the Park and Trails on Sunday and they will remain closed until Wednesday February 17, 2021.
As always, the safety of our Residents in our highest priority. Our Operation staff will be in District and are on call to assist you with any Water, Wastewater or Park and Trail emergencies. Please call our 24-hour service line at 281-324-9803 to report any issue you may experience.
We are urging all residents to take precautions now to winterize your home. Let your water run at a small trickle inside your home during the freezing temperatures. Disconnect any garden hoses and wrap your outdoor pipes and outdoor faucets as well as exposed pipes located in your attic. By taking these steps you will lessen your chance of your pipes freezing and bursting. If you have any questions about winterizing your homes, please call our office at 281-324-9803.
