A Message from Frontier Waste Solutions

Newport MUD Residents,

As we head into this weekend, we wanted to let you know that we are monitoring the coming extreme cold and what looks like will turn into rain/snow/ice on early Monday morning and perhaps Tuesday. Like any transportation company, we are concerned about ice on the roadway, but we have the additional worry of what will the landfills do in response to the extreme weather? If they end up closing, we would have no place to dispose of the waste once the trucks are full. We are waiting to see what happens with this problematic one-two combination.

With Houston facing its coldest temperatures in decades – according to news reports, let’s hope that we get some of that Texas-quick-change weather and something happens to make this event a bit more mild. If not, it is highly likely we will see service delays due to icy conditions on the road and landfill closure decisions.

We will keep you posted as things move along over the next 48 hours.

Thanks very much for your patience and understanding regarding this matter.

Have a safe weekend, try and stay warm!
