Attention Newport MUD Residents,
Due to the Drop Box lock being cut in January as previously reported to the District Residents and Sheriff Department, the Drop Box will no longer be utilized as a method of payment submittal. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our residents, however protecting your personal information is the most important thing to us and with the recent theft we can not guarantee that the Drop Box is a safe way to make your monthly water payment. For this reason, we have suspended this method of payment.
During the past 25 years, we have experienced multiple vandalism issues. This is the first time the lock has ever been cut allowing some payments to be stolen. As of February 13, 2020, there has been a total of 10 accounts affected. Our Billing office has been handling customers concerns on a one on one basis, we will continue to help investigate any additional claims that are reported.
For your convenience, there is a 24-hour Drop Slot located at the District Operations Office located at 11335 F.M. 1960 East, suite 112, Huffman Texas, 77336.
