Newport MUD’s Drop Box lock was cut between 9:00am Friday, January 10, 2020 and 9:00am Monday, January 13, 2020. The District Operator immediately contacted Harris County Sheriff Department, filed a Police Report and obtained a case number regarding the tampering of the drop box lock within Newport.
The lock was replaced immediately all payments in the drop box at that time were removed and processed at the Operator’s billing office.
If any Residents placed a payment in the Drop Box located on Newport Blvd. within the dates and times referenced above, please contact the District’s Operator at 281-324-9803 to discuss your account status.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause the residents of Newport. The Board of Directors have been advised of the incident. They have directed the Operator to resolve any issues to resident accounts that have been affected.
