Welcome to Newport MUD

Newport Municipal Utility District (the "District") is a political subdivision of the State of Texas. The District contains approximately 2,350 acres of land and was created for the primary purpose of providing water, sewer, and drainage services as well as residential garbage service within its boundaries.

Newport MUD announces a new program just for our junior residents here in Newport. If you are resident of Newport M.U.D. you and your child are qualified to participate. The goal of this program is to encourage thoughtful fun, exploration, discovery, wonder and appreciation of the Newport Parks and Trails.

Trail System Closed

The Trail system in Newport is closed due to the heavy rainfall we received. Low water crossings are currently under water.

Kite-Flying Day in Newport

The next event is Kite-Flying Day in Newport on May 18th. All kites will be provided for the Newport MUD Junior Park Rangers, along with hot dogs and drinks.
